san francisco.

I can’t believe it’s been six months! It’s shameful how long it’s been since my last post. A lot has happened though! We have done some traveling, moved out of the apartment, made it through a family wedding, but most importantly we’re having a BABY! It’s been an emotional and hectic six months but we are so excited to start this new chapter and meet our little baby.

We ended 2012 by visiting R’s family in San Francisco.  He of course has been several times but it was my first trip to the west coast.  We went downtown, visited Carmel and Point Lobos, roamed around Sausalito, and just enjoyed the perfect weather.  For both of us our favorite part of the trip was going to Point Lobos. The weather was perfect that day and the water was the deepest most beautiful blue.  It was nice just to walk around the ridges and enjoy the breeze. We ended the day by having dinner in Carmel and walking down to the beach to watch the sunset.  By the last few days of our trip we had begun to have suspicions about being pregnant but decided to wait until we were back in Charlotte to take a test. Our flight left at night and we flew threw the night and reached Charlotte at ten the next morning. As soon as we got back to our apartment I took a test and was given happy news! It was the perfect start to the new year. Here are some of my favorite shots from our trip.
