Italy overall was amazing. The people, the food, the atmosphere. Venice, however, was a world of its own. There is no place like it! The buildings standing on water with all their different colors was a sight to see. We took an overnight flight from the US to Venice and arrived on my birthday [best birthday present EVER!]. We took the vaporetto, ‘water bus,’ several times and it was definitely worth it.  The weather was perfect while we were there. It got a little hot a couple of days but overall it was cool and sunny. We didn’t ride a gondola while in Venice, but we also don’t regret it. The best way to see Venice is to get lost in the alleys and different neighborhoods.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from Venice. Enjoy!
